Toys for Tots Bike Drive 2009

Amid snow flurries and wind chills in the teens, we transported and delivered the 78 bicycles that we raised funds for in Al's Annual Bike Drive to benefit Toys for Tots. Funds were donated by family, friends, colleagues and strangers which were matched by Thrivent. In all, were were able to purchase 78 bicycles from Toys R Us. I'd like to thank Toys R Us on McKight Rd for their generous discount and free assembly. Many people there worked hard to get these all together for us. I'd also like to thank Giant Eagle in McIntyre Sqaure and my wonderful friends who helped tranport these to the Club at Nevillewood where we presented them to the Marines. My professional orgainization, NAIFA, hosted the luncheon. Thanks to many generous NAIFA collegues who donated and solicited to help the cause. I'll try and get a warmer day for next year!
